Community Development Data Repository

About the Community Development Data Repository

Building stronger, more resilient communities across Jamaica through collaboration, evidence, and shared commitment.

What is the Community Development Data Repository

The Community Renewal Programme (CRP) is about people — families, youth, elders, and community leaders working together to make life better in their neighbourhoods.

Implemented by the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), the CRP supports vulnerable communities across all 14 parishes to address the challenges they face and build on the strengths they already have.

We don't just build infrastructure. We invest in lasting change — better roads and water systems, yes, but also improved education, safer spaces, economic opportunities, and healthier environments where children can thrive and families can flourish.

How this repository supports communities

Some communities face greater challenges than others — not because of the people who live there, but because of historic underinvestment, limited access to services, and systemic barriers that make progress harder.

Bringing community data together

We bring community-level data into one centralized, trusted platform so that information is no longer scattered across multiple agencies.

Ensuring Data Quality & Trust

Using consistent standards to keep data accurate, reliable, and responsibly maintained.

Guiding where support goes

When residents, local leaders, and organizations can see where support is working and where it's most needed, together we can focus efforts and resources where they'll make the biggest difference.
